About	Joel Dean Finegan, 86, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2018. Born December 12, 1931 in Gary, IN. Son of Leo and Stella (Marshall) Finegan. Studied Physics at Wesleyan University in Connecticut and Case Western Reserve University in Ohio eventually obtaining his PH. D in physics. Married Helen Huene on May 21, 2007. Survived by his wife, Helen; brother-in-law, Tom (Marion) Huene. Predeceased by his parents; siblings, Carol and Donald.
