About	Robert A. Hamilton, age 69, of Marana, AZ passed away on February 6, 2018 after a short illness. Robert was born on January 22, 1949 in Sylvester, WV to Richard and Lillian Hamilton. He moved to Indiana at an early age where he attended Horace Mann High School. Bob was a Vietnam veteran, 1969-1970, who earned two purple hearts in addition to many other commendations. After his service he settled in Portage, IN where he spent the majority of his life and raised his family. He was employed by US Steel for 33 years, where he was very active in USW Local 1066 until he retired in 2001. Bob was a great friend and fun person to be around. He enjoyed others company and will be missed by his many friends and family. In his free time, he kept himself busy repairing televisions which he donated to veterans in need. Bob was the husband of Patricia Hamilton whom together shared a wonderful life and marriage. They had two children and three grandchildren who he took great joy in spending time with. Robert is survived by his wife Patricia Hamilton (Lear), brother Richard (Bernice) Hamilton, son Robert (Helena) Hamilton Jr, grandchildren, Makenna, Macey and Maxwell. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Lillian Hamilton, brother, Darrel Hamilton, and daughter Nicole Hamilton. Robert Hamilton will be laid to rest at 3PM on August 17, 2018 at Arlington National Cemetery. There he will receive military honors on what would have been he and Patricia's 50th wedding anniversary.
