George James Magrames, age 85 of Munster, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, May 21, 2018.
He graduated from Horace Mann High School, Class of 50, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. George retired after 33 years as a heavy equipment operator for U.S. Steel Gary Works/National Tube. He also owned and operated several businesses in northwest Indiana. George was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Highland. The two most important things in George's life were God and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Constantina Magrames; brother, Louis Magrames. George is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Marcella; children, Patricia Magrames, Susan (Scott) Felton, Debbie (Rob) Stewart, James (Susan) Magrames; grandchildren, Christopher and David Stewart, Kayla (Cody) Sikma, Jimmy and Connor Felton, and Madison Magrames; sister, Helen Bowling; several nieces and nephews.
