After graduation I enlisted in the U.S.Army and served 13 months in Korea on the DMZ on a peace-keeping mission. Came home, got married, had two sons and went to work with the Hobart, Indiana Police Department. 10 years in the Patrol Division, 13 years in the Detective Division and the last 8 yrs retiring in 1988 after 23 years of service as Chief of Detectives. Got divorced, married again, had two sons. Moved to Central Indiana (Plainfield) conducted special investigations for the Attorney General's Office and also worked in Tort and Medicaid Fraud Units. Went out in the private sector with private company conducting internal theft investigation, safety and security all over the U.S. for a nation-wide company. Came to work for the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 1993 as a Lieutenant and Master Instructor. One son graduated from Xavier Universiity in Cincinnati, OH and went to work for the New York Yankees in Public Relations is now home and in a management program. Other son graduated from Vincennes University and is an intelligent agent for the Fusion Center in the State House. Ready to retire from the Academy and draw another pension and move on to something else, probably a Federal pension. I am a published author of two books and working on a third, Received the second highest award by the Indiana Governor of "Distinguisted Hoosier" and other honors during my life. I am a graduate of the 187 session of the FBI National Academy. Well, I could go on and on, but in order not to bore you, I will end this story line and get on with my life...........................
