Joined NC City as the Building/Electrical inspector in '17, enjoying working in the City--past and new memories. Sad ones to share--Clearmount demo'd June, Portage being demo'd July, W&J last year (remember checking out the Corvettes in the showroom) Kmart now gone. Many Changes but new stuff too! New Stadium --no columns in the aisles, New concussion, new visitors locker rooms, New Softball lockers and concession coming soon, New Dugouts and coaches box at Varsity Field, New West gate at parking lot (relocated WWII memorial to that gate (South Ticket booths gone for new bus maint. building), New Clearmount and New Charolette coming late July/early August--very impressive and sharp inside!, big Diebold-Nixdorf expansion growth in the old Hoover Orchard Bldg., upgrade at Dogwood, new pool Bldg. coming soon.
Many homes added (sadly on the old Bob-O-Link course and Kmart property becoming Meijer's and more (...in Canton "Mellet Mall" Macy's/Oneil's and '62 Kmart becoming indoor storage facilities) a lot happening in our old stomping grounds but I guess the progress out weighs the empty buildings. Hall of Fame another whole story too!
