Dear Fellow Classmates of Homer High School: Wow! It has been 20 years since most of us have walked the halls of Homer High School our Alma Matter. Several classmates had some interest in a combined 20 year reunion for the classes of 1988 and 1989. So, a group of us have combined forces and put together what we hope will be a 20 year reunion to remember, reminisce about and cherish for years to come. We have tried to find all classmates, but there are still many that we do not have information on. If you know of any of your classmates information, please send them the information about the reunion and also send their information to me at becbec70@bellsouth.net so we can have an updated address list of all our classmates. Please review the reunion schedule below and R.S.V.P. by September 28, 2009 at the latest for an accurate headcount. Homer High School Class of 1988 and 1989 20 Year Reunion Schedule: Thursday, October 2, 2009: • Homer High School Homecoming Parade- 5:30pm- Pep Ralley to immediately follow at the HHS Football Stadium Friday, October 2, 2009: • Homer High School Homecoming Parade- time to be determined • Homer High School Homecoming Alumni Tea – 12noon at the Home Economics building • Homer High School Homecoming Pre-Game and Game– 5pm – until Saturday, October 3, 2009: • Family Outing at Papa Simpsons Farm-9:30am - 11am- Cost: Free Bring family and children to take a hey ride, feed the animals, pet and hold the baby animals, ride the ponies ,etc • Family Outing at Lake Claiborne State Park – 11 am – 2pm This will be a “bring your own foodâ€, etc and cookout as a group with our families and classmates. We will play Volleyball, Frisbee, and have a Scavenger Hunt with small prizes. • Class of 1988 and 1989 20 year Reunion Banquet- 6pm – midnight Cost: $ 35 per person due by Tuesday, September 30, 2009. This covers the meal, beverages, rental of the location and entertainment for the banquet. Attire: Business Casual to Black Tie optional LOCATION: TALL TIMBERS LODGE, HOMER, LA Beverages: Tea, Coffee, Soft Drinks, Beer and Wine until consumed Louisiana Buffet: Fried Catfish Fillets Crawfish and Shrimp Magnolia with Pasta Chicken Breast Napoleon Chicken Sausage Jambalaya Creole Green Beans Macque Choux (Corn Dish) French bread Desserts: Cheesecake and Chocolate Cobbler with Ice Cream Entertainment: Live Band or DJ, slide show, HHS Trivia Game- with small prizes (possible karaoke set up and possible room set up to play PlayStation Rock Band) Sunday, October 4, 2009: • Family Lunch after church- Nicky’s – 12:30- until Cost of the lunch will not be provided. This is optional but for those that can attend it will give us all a chance to say goodbye until next time. Most of you will be coming in from various locations across the country. If you choose to order the football tickets early and send in your money with your reunion fees, we will obtain the tickets and have them waiting at the football stadium gate for you.
