I joined the Marines shortly after graduating, My MOS was Aircraft Firefighting and Rescue Specialist. I was stationed at MCAS Yuma AZ, and it is hot as Hell there. I have to say I loved every minute of my enlistment, especially the hard times. I miss it a lot. I miss being in charge of Marines, the yelling, the constant tension, uniform inspections, and most of all "my" Marines.

Four years Army active duty 66-70, as a Vietnamese linguist, voice intercept operator (ground and air), and language school instructor. After completing degree, was commissioned as a 1635 Naval Intelligence officer, up to retirement in 1989. Served in Viet Nam and Beirut combat zones.

Served as Deputy Commander of the Medical Detachment of Florida and mobilized from 2004-2005 for OEF serving in Puerto Rico and in Washington DC at the Pentagon. Retired with 30 years as a Colonel.

What an awesome career with plenty of moving and seeing others cultures. Supported Desert Storm as a Commander. Served in many senior staff positions to include the senior Logistics Officer for the Corps of Engineers in Iraq. Retired in 2008 and have not worked for a paycheck since that great day.
