After leaving SC I did service in Alemeda where I was A Hull Tech.( lots of grinding):)

Joined the Navy after graduation and headed for boot camp in San Diego. Class A school in Napa and then off to Adak Alaska. Also served in a Navy detachment on Shemya Alaska. Adak, six months and Shemya for six months. (Shemya not on most maps. Extremely small island, second to the last island in the Aleutian Island chain.) Last duty station was San Diego. Nice change from the winds and cold in Alaska. Finished duty October 1968.
