About	Marcia and my cousin, Steve, who she married in 1972, and their 4 year old, Taryn, were traveling from their home in the countryside in Fresno, CA into town to run errands on that fateful day. At approximately 10:30 a.m they were struck by a drunk driver who ran a red light traveling at +80 miles per hour. My cousin died immediately. Marcia was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Taryn survived with multiple injuries and was hospitalized for a very long time. Upon release, she had to wear a body cast for six months. Her recovery was painful and slow. She was amazing! Their youngest daughter, Amber, who was 8 months old, was left behind with a family member at the last minute because she was fussy. Fate stepping in? Whatever the cause, the family was so grateful she was not with them. Time heals all wounds? Not necessarily. RIP Marcie and Steve
