Marsha Chapman passed away November 8, 2005. She was born December 10, 1948 to Ethel and Jay Chapman. She attended Watkins, Reed, and Hillcrest and graduated from SMS in 1971. She taught kindergarten, children of migrant workers, gifted, and at risk students at Southwest Washburn. She was honored to become the 1983 Missouri Migrant teacher of the year. in 1998, she went with other teachers of gifted students to Russian and Siberia where they compared gifted programs. She is survived by her mother; a brother John and wife, Jan; two nieces; three uncles and aunts. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. Funeral services wil be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2005, at Greenlawn North, and conducted by Rev. Eddie Bumpers.
