Class of 1959
Air Force, 20+ Years
Joined RCAF as a Pilot in 1959. Medically grounded, so enrolled in the Army as an Artillery Officer (they told me I could fly there). After commisioning, they told me that once grounded, always grounded !
Eventually transferred to Finance, and the Air Force stole me back. Served most of my career as an Air Force Finance Officer. Retired from the Forces in Oct 88, and pursued a second career in IT.

served in Canadian Armour Corp with the 8TH Canadian Hussars as part of the Special Service Force based at CFB Petawawa.Trained as a tank gunner on the Centurion and M 60 A1 main battle tanks. Also trained in recconisance using the Lynx recce vehicle,radio communication,mines and demo, and small and hvy weapons, Served with UN in peacekeeping in Cyprus (UNFICYP).Trained with US ARMY in Fort Hood Texas.Did security for Montreal Olympic Games

2009 - 2010- a Sergeant posted to CEFCOM Afghan Desk as a senior Analyst in Ottawa. 2007 - 2009- 8 Wing A2 Trenton; deployed to Afghanistan as part of the Tactical Airlift Unit Intelligence Section Feb - Aug 2008. 2005 - 2007- Joint Intelligence Information Fusion Capability in Ottawa.. 1997 - 1998- Canadian Forces Joint Imagery Centre as an imagery analyst -operations. 1990 - 1997 - 1st Battalion the Royal Canadian Regiment Petawawa; deployed to the former Yugoslavia as a peace-keeper as part of UNPROFOR 1994 - 1995. other postings: Portage la Prairie, Edmonton, Chilliwack.
