About Me	After 30 years of coaching both boys & girls gymnastics, I decided to retire, that was 1994. In 1994, I returned to the Renton School District, taught Physical Education for 1 year, then moved onto teaching 'at risk' youth for the Griffin Home as a General Education teacher for the Renton School District. In 2005, after 10 more years as an educator I completely retired. In 1972, a partner & I opened one of the first gymnastics clubs in the Pacific Northwest, Bellevue, WA called the Academy of Olympic Gymnastics. This private gymnastics school ran successfully from 1972 until 1984, we also opened a second club called 'KidsPlace Gymnastics' which ran from 1982 till 1986, also in Bellevue, WA. During these years, I accepted the position of Varsity Women's Gymnasics Coach at the University of Washington. I coached there from 1973 till 1980. After winning 4 Regional Collegiate Championships in a row, qualifying to 4 National Championships & co-directing the 1978 AIAW National Women's Gymnastics Championships at the UW, I returned to Club Coaching in 1980. I completed my gymnastics coaching career directing and coaching Nova/PAL Gymnastics Club in Santa Rosa, CA for 10 years. I returned to Seattle in 1994 and taught for the Renton Sch...(read more)
