James Goldberg
Class of 1965
James Goldberg, Professor at the faculty of Medicine (France), is a cancer specialist and holder of an MD PhD from Paris and Columbia University. He works for professional organizations and governments in the US, France, and Europe.
He was the first Chief of the largest Home Care Program in France. The program started with 250 patients per day in 1985. During the 1990s, patients increased to 1200 per day in the Paris Region. He is a specialist in Healthcare Quality and Safety Sciences (ANAES) and helped establish national programs in France.
James Goldberg was discerned the "Academic Palms" by the Prime Minister and Ministers of Health and Education in France for services in the National Educational Program. He was also discerned the Highest Award from contributions in Evaluation and Accreditations by Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Luxembourg.
Professor Goldberg was the President of the Scientific Committee for the Masters Degree in Quality and Safety in Medicine for Europe and was elected to the Scientific Committee for Medicine in Rome. He held the position of Senior Advisor to the Director of Research of Medicine and Research in France in International Programs. Over the last ten years, he has been Special Advisor to the National Deans Commission of Medicine in France and a Special Advisor to the Royal College of Physicians UK.
He has dual citizenship: American and French. He is married has two children and resides in France.
