About	David L. Stanley passed away at his home in Johnston, PA on Wednesday, April 3. David was born in Fairfax, VA and lived in Manassas until he was 5 years old. He grew up in Herndon and graduated from Herndon High School in 1981. Dave is survived by his wife Joan of 24 years, his daughter Mary and son David, III of Davidsville, PA. Dave loved his children very much and was very proud of them. He was happiest when he would talk about their accomplishments, especially their straight “A’s” He is also survived by his mother, Diane Stanley and brother Todd Stanley and sister-in-law Tracy of Herndon. He leaves behind his very special nieces Emily Stanley Tejada (Kevin) of Herndon and Amanda West of FL nephew Austin. Dave is also survived by several nieces and nephews of PA. He is also survived by several cousins, brother and sisters-in-law, He is also survived by his Uncle Mike Gonzales of Missoula, Montana who Dave loved very much. Dave Is preceded in death by his father David Stanley, Sr, brother John “Chuck” Stanley, maternal grandparents, John and Mary Gonzales, paternal grandparents James and Elsie Stanley and his beloved Aunt Barbara Parsons. Dave excelled in several sports. He was an avid fan of the Washington Nationals, Washington Commanders and the Maryland Terrapins. He also loved helping his dad at Old Dominion Speedway when his dad was drag racing. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR. Dave loved to hunt with his dad and enjoyed fishing very much. Dave worked for several years with his dad in his dad’s landscaping business. Visitation will be at Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon on Tuesday, April 16 at 10 am with Memorial Service beginning at 11 am. Interment at Chestnut Grove Cemetery immediately following service.
