Pamela Jean Bell, 74 of Durham, NC passed away unexpectedly at home, December 16, 2022. Pam was born in Portsmouth, VA and is preceded in death by her father Paul Cordell of Black Mountain, NC; mother Edna Cordell (Burke) of Lee County, VA; and sister, Diane Goode of Portsmouth, VA.

Pam is survived by her husband, Robert Bell of Durham, NC; sister Linda Gervasi (John) of Haymarket, VA; daughter Kelly Bell (Brandie Jones) of Durham, NC; and grandson Tyler Bell of Reston, VA; and brother-in-law, Michael Goode of Charlestown, WVA. Pam is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Pam was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend who was loved by so many. She touched so many hearts far and wide, she always wore a smile on her face. She was a loving wife and a loyal caregiver to her husband, Bob, of 56 years. Pam loved and adored her daughter, Kelly, grandson, Tyler, and her grand puppies, Bella and Bryson. Although Pam suffered from severe pain daily, she never complained, she lived her life to the fullest, and loved with a full heart unconditionally.

Pam was a bright light in the darkness and would always make you smile, and if you found it difficult to find one, she would wear one for you. Pam was full of spunk and had a vibrant personality. Pam passed away doing what she loved most, sitting in her rocker, drinking coffee, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies. The love, support, and prayers of so many has been a comfort to the family, we are so blessed to have all of you during this difficult time, and we want to say "Thank You" from the bottom of our hearts. We know Pam gained her angel wings and is in heaven shining her bright light down upon us all, smiling that big smile, and enjoying her time drinking coffee and catching up with her mom, dad and sister while letting us know that everything is okay, and she is no longer in pain. A celebration of life for Pam will be held at a later date. Send flowers to the service of Pamela Bell
