Linda Rae Coleman, 68, of King George County passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, at home.
Born in Westchester County, N.Y., Linda was raised in Herndon. Linda was a graduate of Thiel College, Greenville, Pa., and a selfless mother to her children. She was employed with the U.S. government for 46 years and 9 months, the last 42 years at NSWC Dahlgren as a senior independent contracting officer.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Coleman of the home; two sons, Richard Lee Coleman and Scott Coleman (Tracy), all of King George; and a daughter, Pamela Jean Coleman of Fredericksburg.
A gathering of friends will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. Burial will be private.
Donations may be made to the King George Animal Rescue League, 11377 Citizens Way, King George, VA 22485.
The family thanks Mary Washington Hospital for the excellent care afforded to them and their loved one.
