Born January 24, 1953 at Princeton, WV. She was the daughter to the late Hosea Shrewsbury and Grace Hall Shrewsbury. Rachel graduated from Herndon High School in Herndon, VA. She also attended Lashmeet Elementary and Matoaka High School. Left to cherish her memory of 50 years is her husband John Coan. She is also survived by Daughters Stephanie Coan and Lindy Sisemore of Gainesville, VA. and Grandchildren Samantha and Justin Sisemore also of Gainesville, VA. She is also survived by the following siblings: Manuel and Lorraine Hall of Toledo Ohio, Sandra Reynolds of Rock, WV, Rita Shrewsbury of Narrows, VA and Rhonda Dunford and husband Keith of Rocky Gap, VA. Rachel loved the Lord and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Bealton, VA. Rachels' wishes were to be cremated and at a later date buried at the Shutt/Shrewsbury cemetery at Rock, WV. If anyone so desires to make a contribution on Rachel's behalf they can be made to 'Ovarian Cancer Research'. There will be no services.
