Temporary duty in Canada,Panama and Curacao/Antilles.

Retired from the US Air Force after serving 30 years. Retired as an Chief Master Sgt.(E-9), highest enlisted rank attainable. Chief Master Sergeant Lindsay D. Harris served as 412th Maintenance Group Chief Enlisted Manager, Edwards Air Force Base, California. He was the lead maintenance and manpower advisor to the 412th Maintenance Group Commander on matters concerning placement and utilization of all enlisted members assigned to the maintenance group.
Chief Harris entered the Air Force in 1976 for training as a crew chief on single and dual engine aircraft. Upon completion of training, he was assigned as a crew chief on the T-37 Tweet aircraft at Randolph AFB, Texas. In 1978, he relocated to Hahn Air Base, Germany, where he was a crew chief on the F-4E Phantom. Upon return to the United States in 1980, he elected to cross-train into the Environmental Systems career field. Upon completion of training, Chief Harris was assigned to Patrick Air Force Base, Florida as a Hydraulic and Environmental System Technician. During this time, he worked on OV-10 Bronco and 0V2-A Skymaster aircraft. In 1984, Chief Harris was reassigned to Beale Air Force Base, California. As an Electro-Environmental Systems Technician he was qualified on the SR-71 Blackbird, T-38 Talon, U2/TR-1 Dragon Lady and KC-135 Strato-tanker aircraft. It was during this assignment, he was deployed to Saudi Arabia (in support of Operation Desert Shield), Okinawa, Japan, Kunsan AB Korea, and Zaragoza, Spain. After spending over 9 years at Beale, he was assigned to McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. While at McConnell, he was assigned as the B-1B Lancer Electro-Environmental Systems Supervisor and the Logistics Operation Flight Superintendent. In May of 1997, Chief Harris was assigned to Edwards Air Force Base. During this tour he has fulfilled duties as an F-15 Eagle Production Superintendent, F-15 Maintenance Manager, Shadow Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent, F-16 Maintenance Superintendent, 412th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Maintenance Superintendent and the position he retired at as the 412th Maintenance Group Chief Enlisted Manager.
Chief Master Sergeant Harris is married to the former Miranda Tyson. Chief Harris also has a daughter, Alexis, a graduate of the University of South Florida.
