Attended the School of Infantry (East) for the Infantry Training Battalion, assigned to Brave Co., Class 06-01. Graduated SOI as an 0331, infantry machinegunner. Stationed with 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, part of company Alpha, weapons platoon, billet: gunner. Participated in the 2001 Sea & Sky Spectacular in Mayport, FL. Deployed to Japan on 2002, trained with the Philippine Marines and Russian Naval Infantry. His battalion was the first Marine Infantry unit to conduct training at Eglin AFB, FL in 2003, with Battalion Landing Team 1/6 part of the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit. Second deployment took him to Croatia, Albania, Kuwait and Spain, during which, his unit conducted 74-straight days of combat operations in the Oruzgan province, part of Operation Mountain Storm (Operation Enduring Freedom).
Reenlisted in November 2004, reported to HQ, SOI(E) for Marine Combat Instructors Course. Machinegun instructor for Company Delta, Infantry Training Battalion from March 05 to May 06. Transferred to Weapons Instructors Group, Machinegun section, May 06 to Feb 08.
Change of duty station to 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, Weapons Co, Feb 08 to May 08, billet: section leader. Transferred to 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, May 08 to present, billet: section leader.
