My second National Defense Medal was awarded for Desert Storm while I was in the Army National Guard.

Became a full-time Civil Service Employee for the HHC 1-195th Armor in Kearney, NE from August 1974-March 1979.
Transferred to run the Hastings Armory from March 1979-March 1987.
Became Active Army for the Nebraska Guard on 30Aug84.
Promoted and transferred to HHC 1-134th Infantry (M) as the Senior Personnel Sergeant/E7 on 21 March 1987.
Retired from the military on 31 October 2000 as the S-1 Senior Sergeant for HHT 1-167th Cavalry Squadron, in Lincoln, NE
