| About Me | About Me: Maiden name was Feasel. Grad of Edison Elementary, Hammond (IN) HS, University of WI Stevens Point and University of the State of NY. Grad work at Ball State University. Married over 20 years to the late Henry J. Brucker, Jr. (classmate). Now happily married to Raymond Garrett, Sr. for 33 years! FAMILY Raymond and I have a LARGE his/mine/ours = one big happy family! Our children include Raymond II, Brian, Tia, Vaughn, Brentus, Ryan, Kristen, Kevin & Jordan. Our son Kevin and his college sweetheart, Jasmine, were married on November 12th, 2016 at historic Brawner Hall in Smyrna, Georgia. Three daughters -- Valda, Kim and Sherrill -- are now deceased. We have over 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. This is due to raising a total of a dozen kids (separately and together) from babyhood to adulthood, including stepkids, biological kids, adopted kids and one grandchild for whom we were legal guardians all his life. CAREER HISTORY My career history with the U.S. Government is summarized in the "Work and Education" portion of About Me. After my retirement from federal service, I became an entrepreneur in antiques, floral designs and flipping. I have a Zazzle store called Artisans Coterie (which means a small group of artists). I design apparel, home goods, jewelry & accessories, art items, stationery and more available on Zazzle. I do fresh and silk floral arrangements for weddings, special events and general home decor. I've also been the proprietor of antique and home interior booths, and may decide to do that again at some point. I am very active with Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and have been a member since 1963. I have held Council level offices on the Calument Region Council and the Metro Atlanta Council (for which I have been President four times). I help with fundraising activities for the Loving Arms Cancer Outreach and the Childrens' Tumor Foundation. I am currently a co-leader for the Bullard Elementary Girl Scout Troop. I've led two other troops in Wisconsin, and have been a Cub Scout Committee Chair in Wisconsin and a Den Leader in Carmel, Indiana. I volunteer in several capacities at St. Joseph Catholic Church. My husband Raymond retired from the U.S. General Services Administration. He was formerly Director of Property Management for federally owned & leased facilities in the state of Indiana. We lived in Carmel (IN) for 10 years, where we were very active with scouts and youth athletics and were members of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. We moved to Georgia in 2003 and to the historic city of Marietta in spring of 2007. We love historic Marietta with it's small town feel and the historic square.
