About Me	Retired from multiple careers. Spent 30 years in journalism, first three years at Post Newspapers (news editor, West Allis Star, 1976-78, and community editor, West Allis Post, 1976-78), then 27 years with the Cedar Rapids Gazette (in order: public safety reporter, education writer, assistant opinion page editor, investigative reporter). Then spent 12 years with Pearson Education in Iowa City, and three years on staff at UnityPoint Hospice as volunteer coordinator. Now a hospice volunteer, board secretary for a bicycle club, and a board member and volunteer for the Linn County Chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
