Class of 1971

In the spring of 71 , Hamilton varsity tennis went 67 and 3. The Milwaukee Journal followed us with sport stories as we won the Milwaukee dual match championships. We also won the city tournament vs all city teams. I had a 13and 1 record st number 1 ,and finished 3rd in the city tournament. My teammate (number two singles )and friend Bill Stokes nearly beat me in a third set tie breaker . ps. I was nearly kicked off the varsity tennis team in my senior 71 year because I walked a young lady friend and former prom queen home and missed practice My pal and teammate Jim Gorman convinced me to plead with Coach Sullivan to get my position back ; thanks Jim , and the rest as they say is Hamilton history.
