Shawn O'Bryhim earned a BA in Social Studies Education and an MA in Latin from Ball State University, an MA and a PhD in Classics from the University of Texas at Austin, and attended archaeology schools in Athens and Rome. He has taught Latin, Greek, and Classics in state universities and private colleges. He has also led study-abroad programs in Greece and Italy, and has presented his research in venues throughout the US and in Europe. He has numerous publications in professional journals on Greek and Roman literature, history, religion, and archaeology, and he edited and co-authored a book entitled "Greek and Roman Comedy," which was published by the University of Texas Press. He currently plays drums in a faculty rock band and plans to move back to Arcadia as soon as possible.
