Clark A F B Philippines with two TDY's to Vietnam where I met up with best friend and classmate Mike Gallagher in 1966 at Binh Thuy near Cantho. We had enlisted together a year earlier. I finished my four year hitch at Pease AFB training electronic countermeasures to B-52 crews. Mike did 25 plus years in Special Ops Parerescue and retired with rank of Major.

I was active Army, Then I finished out with the Guard! i had many duty's, mechanic, power generator repair, track vehecles, M 1 tanks, Apc's, locksmith, once i made sergent, then it was logistics! After i left the Military with 26 years, i went full time with my Locksmith business, i also went & earned my Accociates in business as well, i was bought out! by a Company i knew very well, sold the house, retired to South Carolina, where i'm a free lance Trumpet player!

Served in the AF Air Weather Service as a Weather Observer, Weather Forecaster and finally as a Weather Manager the entire 20 years retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant (E9). Served 2 tours in Vietnam during the war and another tour in Okinawa.

Joined the US Navy Dec 75.Served recruit training in Orlando FL.Went on to Boiler turbine and steam propulsion school in Great Lakes ILL.Served aboard USS Morton DD948 at Pearl Harbor,USS Rathburn FF1087 at Pearl,and Naval Submarine Base Pearl. USS Dixie AD48 San Diego.USS John F. Kennedy Norfolk. Deployed on 2 Wespacs 2 Indian Ocean and 1 Med cruises. Evacuted troops from Vietnam, hostages from Iran in 79 and hostages in Lebenon in the Med. Achieved rank of Petty Officer First class and was awaiting results to become Chief Petty Officer when i had to get out due to family issues. All in all i learned alot and have the Navy to thank for the career i have today and for the past 28 years in Local 9 refrigeration union.

Enlisted august 1 1979 spent 90 days at Parris ILand south Carolinia for boot camp graduated November 1 1979 with rifle expert and pistol expert. When straight to Camp Lejune North carolina for training for 2nd and 3rd echolon gas and diesel mecanhics. Returned home to marry my wife of 40 plus yrs then I got orders to Camp Pendelton CA where i was to join a 198 howlester cannon battrey to work on thier jeeps and trucks that pulled the large guns.WE went a place called 29 plams for 3 months for desert training then about 3 monthslater we had a frost call i kissed my wife and baby boy and went on a carrier and headed to Iran incase we were need to free hostages 50 people plus to help get the leader that was responsabile for the problem
