After graduation Roger attended Buffalo State for one year and then graduated from Baptist Bible College of PA. He married Sandra Colley of Newtown, Connecticut and then enrolled in the Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary graduating in 1970. That same year he became the Minister of Christian Education of the Euclid-Nottingham Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1973 he was ordained by the First Baptist Church of Hamburg, N.Y. In 1974, Rev. Salomon, feeling God's call into the growing Christian school movement, became a Christian school teacher in Martinsburg, WV Two years later he became the Administrator of the Frederick Christian Academy in Frederick, Maryland. In 1983 Rev. Salomon was appointed the Executive Director of the Maryland Association of Christian Schools a position he held until his retirement on September 30, 2011. His duties as Executive Director included serving as a registered lobbyist in Annapolis, organizing educator conferences, student fine arts festivals and athletic events. For four years he was elected to the board of the American Association of Christian Schools. In 2007 he was given an honorary doctorate from Bob Jones University in South Carolina. During the past 20 years Dr. Salomon has preached and/or lectured in over 500 locations in 48 states. He and his wife have five children and 14 grandchildren.
