Navy, 1 Years
Just before 9-11-2001 I enlisted in the US Navy to serve my country. In September, 2001, I deployed directly from boot camp to serve in the war in Iraq. I left boot camp as a distinguished military graduate as well. I spent my entire military service ( with the exception of boot camp) at sea in combat. I have been around the world 3 times in less than 10 months.Until April 2002, when I got word that my mother was diagnosed with cancer. As an only child, I took a humanitarian discharge to care for her. I was honorably discharged with several medals for my conduct in the US Navy.

Our Gwynn Park High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Gwynn Park High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
