What is Tre Sullivan known for?

Chicago Bears' Tre Sullivan, born on December 21, 1994, in Takoma Park, Maryland, is a former American football safety. He embarked on his football journey during his high school years at the Gwynn Park High School in Brandywine, Maryland, and continued to impress during his college football tenure at Shepherd University.

Sullivan's professional career began when he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2017. His time with the Eagles was marked by resilience and determination. He was first waived and placed on injured reserve in September of the same year, only to be re-signed to the practice squad in November. As part of the practice squad, Sullivan experienced the thrill of victory when the Eagles trounced the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

His perseverance paid off in 2018 when he signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles. He started the season on the 53-man roster and played in his first career NFL game on September 6, 2018. Despite a setback, that saw him sent back to the practice squad after a crucial special teams error, Tre was promoted back to the active roster just over a month later. However, his time with the Eagles came to an end in August 2019.

He wasn't out of the game for long. In October 2019, Sullivan was selected by the DC Defenders with the 23rd overall pick in Phase 5 of the 2020 XFL Draft.

Over the course of his professional NFL career, Sullivan registered a total of 17 tackles with no forced fumbles, fumble recoveries, pass deflections, or interceptions. His accolades include a Super Bowl champion title and two-time First-team All-MEC in 2015 and 2016.
