In Memory of

Barbara Ann Muccianti, 76, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, April 13, 2026. She was born July 6, 1949, in Rockford, IL. The daughter of Howard and Dorothy (Overstreet) Girling. She graduated from Guilford High School. She then went on to receive her teaching degree from Rockford College and her master’s degree from NIU. She taught at district 100 schools for 25+ years. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her African Violets. Most of all she loved to spend time with her kids and grandkids. Family was her life. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. She is loved and will be missed by her son, Mark (Jessica) Muccianti; grandson, William Muccianti; granddaughter, Isabella Muccianti; brothers, Bill (Nancy) Girling, James Girling; nephews, Craig Girling and Jeff Girling. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Jerry Muccianti. There will be a graveside service at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, IL.
