On the yellow foot prints in MCRD San Diego, CA on 29 May 73. Served 4 yrs Marines, promoted to Sgt/E5, 5 yrs Army National Guard in Oklahoma & Ohio plus 18 active US Army, promoted SFC/E-7 Finally retired 1 May 2005. During which served 2 one yr tours in Korea . Ah well I could go on & on.

I joined the Army in 2000. In 2003, I deployed to Iraq on the initial invasion with Old Ironsides. There we got into multiple fire fights and a couple of ambushes. After I returned, I left for airborne school in Fort Benning and then to Fort Bragg for the Special Forces Q Course. I after 2 years of the course, I then was assigned to 7th Special Forces Group. I deployed in 2007 to Afghanistan where I was part of a RAT team that conducted classified missions.

I participated in various missions in the Pacific Region and South America providing Combat Search and Rescue support to Navy Seal Team 1 based in Coronado California. I also deployed to various Department of Defense sites performing Search and Rescue missions of the coast of Southern California. I was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1990.

Joined the Coast Guard right out of high school and planned on only doing 4 years........that was 30 years ago! What a job....what a career....l loved every day of it. Had a chance to travel the world and see so many wonderful things. Now I am enjoying retirement and collecting a great retirement!
