Deborah H. Scheffler, age 70, of Penn Yan, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (June 12, 2021) at home. Debbie was born in Cortland, N.Y., the daughter of the late Beverlye (Bishop) and William Higgins.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Michele) Scheffler of Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; son, Micah (Erin) Scheffler of Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren Owen and Isabel; sisters Susan (Stan) Higgins-Ferrell of Estero, Fla., and Daphne Dow of Chesapeake, Va.; brothers William (Joan) Higgins of Fort Meyers, Fla. and Timothy (Julie) Higgins of Groton, N.Y.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Debbie was predeceased by her parents and her husband of 48 years, Raymond Scheffler (2018).
