Enlisted July 1971, completed basic training at Lackland AFB, TX then completed training as an Administrative Specialist at Keesler AFB, MS. My duty assignments were at Andrews AFB, MD, Don Muang RTAFB, Thailand and Nellis AFB, NV. Awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal while in Thailand.

Participated in the Air Offensive over Europe, Algeria, France, Morocco, Tunisia, Sicily and Pantelleria as a Flight Engineer & Top Turret Gunner on a B-17. Wounded at Le Tract, France Aug 24, 1942. Awarded Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 9 Oak Leaf Clusters, Purple Heat and the E.A.M.E. Medal.
