About	Barbara “Barb” J. Kucera, 77, of Grand Island, passed away on November 29, 2024 at CHI-Health St. Francis. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, December 9th at 11 am at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service. Barb was born on February 16, 1947 in Grand Island, to Walter Sr. and Erlene (Stauss) Meyer. She was raised and received her education in the Grand Island area, graduating from Grand Island Senior High in 1965. On January 23, 1976, Barb was united in marriage to Larry Kucera. Three sons were born into this union. Barb worked for the Grand Island Independent until her retirement in 2018. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing darts, camping, listening to Elvis, and watching Nascar racing, Husker football, the Chicago Cubs, and The Price is Right. More than anything, Barb enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Todd Kucera, Matt Kucera, Jason (Kelley McPhillips); grandchildren, Shayla (Matthew), Donovan (Haylee), Logan, Elizabeth, Greysyn, Wyatt, and Alexis; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Walter (Janice) Meyer, Frank (Chris) Meyer, John Meyer; and sisters, Lisa (Richard) Casebolt, Sue Stutzman, and Jean Shoopman. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; sisters, Sharon (Jim) Cemper, June Quaife; brother-in-law, Larry Shoopman; and daughter-in-law, Tina Kucera
