Mary Beck Widmann has graciously volunteered her lovely home for us to gather and celebrate. The reunion will be on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM at 3901 Metairie Heights in Metairie (wheelchair accessible). We will have food with a New Orleans ’ flair, such as Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, Mini Muffulettas among other things. To wet your whistle we will have beer, wine, soft drinks, water and a surprise “signature drinkâ€. We have arranged a photographer to come to this event. He will publish a Souvenir Memory Book, which will have individual pictures of everyone that attends, any group pictures we want and candid shots of the party. The book cost $25.00, but no one is obligated to purchase it. For this event, we have been able to hold the price to $40.00 per person or $75.00 per couple. Checks are to be made out to “Grace King Class of 1972â€. Please, please send in your money if you plan to attend as soon as possible. We have already spent money on paper, envelopes and postage for mail outs and we will have to spend more money for the food, drinks and decorations, among other things. With the budget so close, it is important to get your payments in early. The Reunion Committee truly wants as many as possible to attend. The Grace King Class of 1979 is planning a Group 50th Birthday Party (since most of us will turn 50 next year!) on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. It will be held at Michaul's Live Cajun Music Restaurant, 840 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70130. The cost is $42/person and you may invite family and friends to attend YOUR celebration! The more, the merrier. We'll have an open bar, live music, lots of food, and Cajun Dance lessons.
