GHS CLASS OF ’69 REUNION NOTICE
The Golden High School Class of '69 is holding its 50th Reunion event this year on Friday and Saturday evenings, August 2-3, 2019.
• Friday night will be at the Rock Rest Lodge at 16005 Mt Vernon Road, Golden, CO 80401 (intersection of Mt Vernon Rd and S Golden Road) starting at 5:00 p.m. and will be open to all GHS alumni from ALL classes. We especially invite members of the classes we attended GHS with—the classes of 1967 thru 1971. There will be no cover charge (unless there is an some unforeseen change) and food and drinks are on-your-own.
• Saturday night will be at The Underground (located in the basement of the old Foss Drugstore) starting at 6:00 p.m. and will be just for Class of '69 alumni and guests—although I guess we can’t force those from other classes to stay away if they are dying to see us. Again, there will be no cover charge and food and drinks are on-your-own.
Both The Underground and Rock Rest serve food and drinks, so come and enjoy! We are hoping for a big turnout, and urge everyone to attend (50 years should be long enough to forgive past transgressions, grudges, and broken hearts, and at our age it's getting too hard to remember who was in what clique anyway). An R.S.V.P. to gaylene@gaylene.net would greatly help us in our planning for the events (but you are welcome to come even if you forget to do so).
Call for Volunteers: We need your help in getting the word out to classmates and other GHS alums. If you can volunteer some of your time to help track down email or other addresses or phone numbers for missing persons, please let us know by sending an email to gaylene@gaylene.net and we will get you involved. We know this is rather short notice (then again, at our age and our memories being what they are, maybe short notice is a good thing), so please step up and let us know soon if you can help.
