Class of 1974 Reunion

Dear GHS ’74 Classmates:
We have a committee forming to plan our 50th-Class reunion (I know, this must be a typo!). We would like to get your input on where/when to hold the reunion. We are considering two options.
1) June or July 2024 daytime cook out at Donnie & Cathy Ball’s home on Mill St. in Goffstown. We would have BBQ & sides along with various games like horseshoes, ladderball, kayaking and swimming. Cost per person would be approx. $25 for the daytime event ending at 6 PM.
2) Fall, 2024 – location to be determined – evening dinner event – cost estimated at $50 per person (not including drinks)
Please let us know your preference by Dec. 15, 2023 so that we can begin planning and get more details to you. Reunion venue has been changed to Molly’s Tavern in New Boston (still on Sat. Oct. 4th) Molly Tavern turns out to be a far better choice as we will have pre-games, dinner, a band and a fire-pit available for our use and we don’t have to set up anything or take anything down! Additionally, if local friends want to join us for games (horseshoes, corn-hole, billiards) or apres-dinner dancing they can just show up as regular patrons of Molly’s. The path to Molly’s door is well known to the locals, especially as it has 12 brews on tap. Roughly the schedule will be: show up at 4 pm or 5 pm for games, 6 pm for dinner (sorry so early), 7:30 band starts. We don’t know the name of the band yet, but we are working on it. Well, fellow classmates, this thing is happening thanks to the VERY GENEROUS donation from one of our own who wishes to remain anonymous. Same date, same time, same city, new location.
The World Sports Grille used to be Jillian's, so most of us know where it is (corner of Commercial and Granite Streets). It is still within walking distance of the place we had originally booked (and the Hilton Garden Inn hotel). After calling MOST downtown locations, we can promise you that we were VERY lucky to book this private room for that particular weekend with this little notice.
It will be a cash bar, and we will have servers to take our drink orders. We have an amazing DJ, Kevin Sawler, spinning tunes from our HS days, and there will be door prizes! The function room has a pool table and a dart board for those wanting to play.
As for the cost, here is the NEW deal: We are asking that people pay ONLY WHAT THEY CAN AFFORD as a CASH donation at the door to help to cover costs. Clearly, people who have already bought tickets will not be asked to make an additional donation, unless they choose to do so.
Our benefactor is willing to buy food based on the number of RSVPs we get by Monday, November 4th. That being said, we are asking that each alumnus limit their guests to ONE. When you RSVP, please post +1 if you are bringing a guest, so that we can plan accordingly.
The only three requests that our generous classmate has made are as follows: 1. To remain anonymous, so please don't ask anyone who did this. Just know that it could be the person next to you at this reunion! 2. If you know someone from our class who is NOT on Facebook, please let them know the details, and RSVP for them on this event. Our graduating class was around 190. 130 are in this private group. Working together, we should be able to reach out to everyone. And 3. "Let's have a kick-ass party!"
We hope that the new plans help to include more people, and we REALLY look forward to seeing everyone back together!

Join fellow Goffstown '86 alumni for this once-in-a-long-time event. Meet old friends, share stories, enjoy drinks & dinner. Tickets are $50 per person if you sign up early, $55 after July 1 and $60 at the door. Please bring your wife, husband, boyfriend or girlfriend along as well - we'd love to meet them. We'll provide a web based way to purchase tickets soon. Or you can send a check to Gretchen (Caldwell) Anderson at 88 Beard Rd, New Boston, NH 03070. Save the weekend as many of us will be flying in and will want to do some group/family kind of stuff. We have reserved a block of 12 rooms at the Highlander if you want to stay over - $129 a night. Save and scan your old and new pics. It'd be fun to do a "Then and Now" slide show. Remember old songs to put on the playlist.
