About	Shaun Schlich, esquire, 54, of Ocean returned to his Lord on Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Shaun was surrounded by his loving family at the time of his death. Born in East St. Louis, Illinois, Shaun was a graduate of Seaton Hall University. He served as a lawyer in Monmouth County, where he often advocated for the handicapped and poor. Shaun was an avid fisherman and boating enthusiast, he leaves behind his former wife and friend, Patty Jo Tacy who lovingly cared for him during his illness; his three cherished sons, Justin, Dylan, and Ross. Shaun is also survived by Chris a beloved extended member of the family, and his dear sister Lisa Avedon and her husband Harvey of Colts Neck; his nieces and nephew, Bridget, Jinna, and Aiden. And his half brother, Billy of Illinois, along with many friends and colleagues whose friendships Shaun felt blessed to have. At his request there is no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Resurrection on Wednesday May 26th 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Pine Street and Asbury Avenue, Asbury Park. Followed by interment at a later date in Oakville, Illinois. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to a college fund for his sons.
