Drafted in 1972 with the plan of only doing my 2 years; My plan went as far as getting out and 4 months later getting called back up. My 2 year plan turned into 40 years. Retired as a Command Sergeant Major (CSM) 2012.
Through the years; I was a Mechanic, Motor Sergeant (45th Medical Battalion, Hanau, West Germany), Food Service Sergeant (775th Field Service Company (FSC), out of Ft. Snelling, MN); Senior Instructor for Wheeled (Trucks) and Track Vehicles (Tanks),(5042d United States Armed Forces School (USARF) out of Ft. Snelling, MN; Maintenance Operations Sergeant; Maintenance Supervisor; Battalion Operations Sergeant (5th Brigade, 1585th Logistical Support Battalion (LSB) Ft. Snelling, 85th Training Support Division (TSD) out of Arlington Heights, Illinois); Food Service Advisor (Ft. McCoy) 6015th Garrison Support Unit GSU), Forest Park, Ill, 86th Regional Readiness Command (RRC) out of Ft.
