About	Mathew D. "Matt" Haar, 19, of Genoa, Ohio, died Friday, December 1, 2006, from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Wood County. Matt was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 22, 1987, to Ronald D. and Annette M. (Griffin) Haar. Matt was a 2006 graduate of Genoa Area High School and Penta County Vocational School, where he was the top in his class in electrical engineering. He was currently a student at Owens Community College studying electrical engineering on a scholarship from Toledo Edison. His goal was to be a poleman for the Toledo Edison Company. Matt has worked for Lowes of Perrysburg for the past year. Yesterday was to be his first day in the electrical department, a goal he had been looking forward to for some time. Matt was a very happy, upbeat, and compassionate person who always had a smile on his face. He also loved and protected his family. Matt enjoyed many things; playing X-Box, paintball, movies, bowling, and was an avid University of Michigan fan. He liked to play his music in his car, which he loved to drive, and looked forward to learning to ballroom dance with his mom. Matt was also looking forward to being an uncle to his sister's child, due in the near future. Matt was good with computers and could often be found working on all sorts of projects, especially with the kids at his church, Day Spring Assembly of God in Bowling Green, Ohio. He enjoyed working at the church and spent many hours on all types of church productions. When he needed to get a bite to eat he could often be found at Bob Evans, his favorite spot! Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Annette of Genoa; sisters, Amanda (Christopher) Fisher of Oak Harbor, WA, Jessica Haar of Genoa; grandparents, F. Dean and Rita Griffin of Genoa; his best friends, Kevin and James, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Genevieve (Mominee) Haar. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2006, in the Day Spring Assembly of God Church, 17360 N. Dixie Hwy. Bowling Green, OH, followed by interment in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. A fellowship gathering will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1213 Washington St., Genoa, immediately following the interment. Visitation for Matt will be in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St. Genoa, from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2006. Memorials may be given in Matt's name to the family or the Day Spring Church Youth Ministry.
