| About Me | Coach Joel Cygan(iewicz), “Coach Cyâ€, has approximately 47 years of coaching experience in swimming and is known nationwide for his technical expertise and team development. He is Level 5 American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) certified which is ASCA’s highest rating and was noted in Swimming World as one of the top 100 active USS coaches. Coached Tracy Caulkins 1980-1985; Cy’s Open Water experience includes winning a Team National Championship in 1999 and was also a member of the Junior National Training Camp in 1999. Cy was a member of the 2000 USS Pan Pac Staff which competed in Australia. He has also been on the USA Swimming National Outreach Select Camp Staff, six-time Kentucky High School Coach of the Year, two time USA Regional High School Swimming Coach of the Year (Tennessee and Kentucky), nominated National High School Swim Coach of the Year while in Kentucky. His swimmers have broken national, regional, state and local swim committee records with each team he has coached.
