Barbara Ruth Runion, 75, passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2023.
A bright, energetic woman, Barbara loved meeting people and loved a good conversation. She was also known for her feisty spirit and her wonderful cooking.
She was born in Washington, D.C. to Robert and Barbara Reidy and lived much of her life in Maryland. Orphaned at an early age, she and her siblings grew up in the wonderful family of Chester and Jeanne Johnson.Barbara loved to help people and pursued a degree in nursing, where she received several academic scholarships. She happily worked in healthcare for the rest of her career.Barbara is survived by an extended, loving family: her sister Frances, Fran's husband Charlie, children Lisa, Dustin, and Jeremy, her granddaughter Anastasia, and many beloved others. We will miss her smile and sweet soul.
