About	Article published Jan 8, 2008 Bruce Edward Beeker April 30, 1953 -- Jan. 4, 2008 Bruce Edward Beeker passed away at Renown Hospital from complications of a surgical procedure January 4, 2008 in Reno, NV. Born in Fremont, OH, April 30, 1953, Bruce was a 1971 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He was a two sport athlete in track and cross country. Bruce obtained an associates degree in purchasing from Truckee Community College. In addition, Bruce served four years in the U.S. Navy. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk in the South Pacific. Bruce was a jovial person who enjoyed life to the fullest. A great fan of all sporting activities, his hobbies included bowling and photography. Bruce was exceptional at sport trivia, especially baseball statistics. He loved his music collection and traveling to visit family and friends. Bruce is survived by his beloved parents, Bud and Betty Beeker of Fremont, OH; sister Martha Durney of Reno, NV; sister Janet Welly of Fremont, OH and brother David Beeker of Oak Harbor, OH. He will also be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and close friends. A private memorial service will be held in Fremont.
