About	LIBERTY, SC: Herman Kanan, eldest son of Mary Jane and Van Kanan, died in late July from a stroke at his South Carolina home. After graduating from Ross High in 1965, he enjoyed his college and military days. He later settled in New Jersey. He honed his natural abilities and achived award winning success in the giftware industry. Herm enjoyed the change of pace when he moved to South Carolina, enjoying retirement. Herm was preceded in death by both parents. His siblings Amy, Bill, Cal, Jim, Ron, and Bob do miss him. A Mass will be said for Herm at St. Bernadine Home, 1220 Tiffin Street at 11:00 a.m. on August 29th. A celebration of Herm's life will also be August 29th a Van Ness's Time Out from 6 till 10 p.m. Old friends, classmates and relatives, please come and share memories.
