About	FREMONT: Daniel "Dan" Wayne DePottey, 63, of S. Clover St., Fremont passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Toledo Hospital. He was born on December 28, 1948 in Fremont to Daniel A. and Waneta (Miller) DePottey. He was a 1968 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and attended Terra Technical College from 1972 to 1974. Dan served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era from September 1969 until August 1971 where he received the Nation Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Sharp Shooter Badge. Dan married Marguerite "Marge" J. Frazier on April 19, 1974 in Fremont and she survives. He worked as a Machine Operator at Robert F. Wolfe Company for over twenty-five years until it closed in 1999. After closing he worked at Happy Jacks Gas Station. In 2006 he went to do what he enjoyed most, Bartend at the Fremont V.F.W. for over six years until his death. Dan was a true Michigan fan. He loved the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings. He was proud to be the President of the Fremont VFW Men's Auxiliary and for all the volunteer work he did there. Dan was also a member of Sycamore Hills Golf Course, Fremont Eagles and American Legion. Dan is survived by his wife, Marguerite "Marge" J. DePottey, Fremont, OH; daughter, Jennifer (Scott Goins) DePottey, Fostoria, OH; step son, Joseph D. Frazier, Fremont, OH; siblings, Robert A. (Deb) Depottey, Pt. Clinton, OH, Steven W. (Linda) DePottey, Sandy (Robert) Jenkins, Karen Lockhart, Jackie (Mike) Crosser, all of Fremont, OH, Beth (Ray) Ramey, Perrysburg, OH, Jill (Mike) Holewinski, Tiffin, OH, Tina Koysta, Pt. Clinton, OH; loves of his life-grandchildren, Ashley, Alexis and Avree, all of Fostoria, OH, and great grandson, Zayden. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation: Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH. Service: Thursday, June 28, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dave Martin and Chaplin Jim Boster officiating.
