About	FREMONT: Wesley "Wes" C. Weichel, 57, of Fremont passed away on May 3, 2011 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, OH. He was born on June 24, 1953 in Fremont, OH to Alva and Jeanne (Webster) Weichel. Wes was a 1970 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He married Laura Palmer on August 1, 1998 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fremont and she survives. Wes worked in Sales and was a farmer in Riley Township. He loved being outdoors where he planted a garden, went mushroom hunting and fishing. His family and home in Riley Township were truly the love of his life. Wes is survived by his loving wife, Laura Weichel; mother, Jeanne Weichel both of Fremont, OH; daughter, Jana (Ian ) Crawford of Oriental, NC; son, Timothy (Lauren) Weichel of Columbia, SC; step son, Eric Swinehart of Clyde, OH; step daughter, Carrie Freeman of Toledo, OH; sister, Sharon J. Septowski of FL; brother, Mark A. Weichel of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; sister-in-law, Linda Eakin; brother-in-laws, Charles (Cherie) Palmer and, Rod Palmer all of Fremont, OH; many nieces and nephews and his "children with fur", Reese and Polly. He was preceded in death by his father, Alva W. Weichel. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
