About	FREMONT: Linda Key Beck, 64, of Fremont, passed away Friday morning, March 18, 2011 at Countryside Continuing Care Center. She was born May 10, 1946 in Kittanning, PA, the daughter of Joseph Tilman and Rhoda Alice (McGinnis) Beddow. She was a 1964 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Linda obtained her real estate license in 1984, later obtaining the professional designations of GRI (Graduate Real Estate Institute), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) and e-PRO. On May 18, 1993 she married David Beck, he survives. Linda worked 2 years at GE then 17 years with Eckrich Brothers before becoming a full-time REALTOR® for the past 27 years. Linda started her career at Fremont Realty, later moving to Jack Bradley Realty from 1990-2001. Then, on March 13, 2001 she partnered with long-time friend and fellow REALTOR®, Cheryl Wendt to create Wendt Key Team Realty. Linda was devoted to the profession and established herself as one of the area's premier real estate agents. Linda possessed the gift of creating and nurturing friendships and memories. She was also a talented artist sharing her art work with many friends through her limited edition prints. As a successful business woman she also advocated for many causes including the Sandusky County United Way Cancer Care Fund, the Sandusky County Humane Society, Heartbeat, and Women of Grace Ministries. In recent years she was recognized by the Susan G. Komen Foundation for her fundraising efforts in the annual Race for the Cure event. Linda was lovingly referred to as "LuLu" by her family and friends. "Team LuLu" was formed in her honor with unwavering support from her family and friends. In 2010, Linda was the 4th highest overall fundraiser of the over 18,000 participants. In addition, her commitment to this cause resulted in "Team LuLu" achieving the number one position in the Small Business fundraising category. "Team LuLu" was 13th out of 535 teams in total money raised-over $7,200. She was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship Church, Beta Sigma Phi-XI Delta Chapter, Fremont Country Club, Fremont Yacht Club, Ladies of the Moose, Firelands Association of REALTORS®, Toledo Board of REALTORS®, Ohio Association of REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®. Linda enjoyed camping, traveling, boating, and spending time with her family and friends. Although she lived with cancer for 18 years, she often said "I'm not sick, I just have cancer". Her attitude and desire to help others was an inspiration to all who knew her. Surviving is her husband, David Beck of Fremont, OH; step-sons, Christopher (Shelli) Beck of Fremont, Robert (Amy Aldredge) Beck of Smyrna, GA; three grandchildren, Jordan, Bradley and Makenzie Beck all of Fremont, OH; brother, Joseph (Rose) Beddow, Jr. of Fremont; and sister, Clara Shue of Clyde, OH; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. In accordance with her wishes a celebration of Linda's life will take place on her birthday, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Victory Christian Fellowship Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, Sandusky County United Way Cancer Care Fund, or Victory Christian Fellowship Church.
