About FREMONT: Brenda A. Bliss, 51, of Fremont, died on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 30, 1959 in Norwalk, OH to Glenn E. and Anne (Baskey) Bliss. Brenda was a 1977 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. As a young girl many people will remember Brenda's first career as an attendant at her father's full serve gas station, Bliss Sohio. She had a very successful career in the restaurant business, beginning with the Hooters Restaurant, based in Florida for many years, then working for Applesauce, Inc. (Applebee's) most recently. Brenda held a rewarding career with Applebee's as an area director for which she was honored with numerous outstanding performance awards presented by the Women's Food Service Forum. She enjoyed traveling, gourmet cooking, fine wine and golfing. Brenda was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and she was a founding member of the Girlfriend Garden Club. She was a wonderful mentor, enriching and inspiring many other people's lives. She was a vibrant and colorful person, and even if you only knew her a short time it seems the world is a little more faded without her. At least she has no more pain and as a memorial to her we must try and live life as fully as she did.

Surviving is her soul mate, ("by far the best man I have been with hands down!"), Fred Robertson of Fremont; brother, William (Kathy) Bliss of Monroe, IN; aunt, Clara May Baskey of Fremont; nephew, Jeremy W. Bliss of Findlay; and two great-nephews, Austin & Timothy; Brenda is also survived by so many wonderful family and very special friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 1-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church at 11:30 a.m. with one hour of visitation at church prior to the mass. Rev. Ken Lil will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Memorial Hospital or the Memorial Hospital Foundation in Brenda's memory. Her family & friends are very grateful for the special care that Brenda received while at the hospital.
