About	Kathi Rose Moore Sept. 14, 1955 -- April 27, 2007 Kathi Rose Moore, 51, Kokomo, began her walk with the Lord on April 27, 2007, following a courageous two-year battle against breast cancer. She was born Sept. 14, 1955, in Fremont, Ohio. She was the daughter of Vincent Omlor and Osie (Feterle) Omlor. On Dec. 8, 1997, she married her soul mate and best friend, Garry R. Moore, who survives. Kathi was a teacher of special education, teaching kindergarten through third grade, at Elwood Haynes Elementary School, who exemplified love and empathy to all. Her passion for education and children were evident not only to her students but also to all who knew and loved her. She was a life learner and was currently taking distance education classes through Ball State University. She enjoyed life and all it had to offer. She was a member of Fairfield Christian Church, where she was baptized into Christ her savior. She saw beauty and grace in nature and had a love of life's simple pleasures. Kathi will not only be remembered as a devoted Christian wife, mother and stepmother, but also for her courage. There has never been a more courageous woman as she gave her battle every ounce of resistance. Kathi was an inspiration and will be gravely missed, but never forgotten. Her love for education was only overshadowed by her love for her family. Survivors include her husband, Garry R. Moore, Kokomo; children, stepchildren and their spouses, daughter Monica L. Parks and spouse Andy Parks, daughter Jenifer A. Coy, sons Timothy A. Allison and Kenneth E. Allison, stepson Kenny Moore and spouse Jamie Moore, stepson Scott Moore and spouse Kristy Moore, all of Kokomo; her six grandchildren, Drew Parks, Grace Parks, Catie Coy, Jared Moore, Devin Moore, and Zoe Moore, Kokomo; her father and stepmother Vincent and Leola Omlor, Findlay, Ohio; her four brothers and their spouses, John and Joan Omlor, Findlay, Ohio, George and Pat Omlor, Harlan, Mark and Ruth Omlor, Montgomery, Mich., Joe and Lori Omlor, Angola, and a very close brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Patty Burdette, Galveston, and several niece and nephews she loved as her own children. She was preceded in death by her mother, Osie Omlor, and her first husband, Michael Chapman, in July 1976. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Pastor Keith Cramer officiating. Burial: Albright Cemetery.
