About	William E McCann (June 28, 1943 - September 3, 2009) U.S. Veteran William E. McCann, 66 of Fremont, died early Thursday, September 3, 2009 at St. Francis Health Care Centre, Green Springs. He was born on June 28, 1943 in Toledo, OH to William R. and Bertelle R. (Smith) McCann. William was a 1961 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. On October 17, 1996 he married Patricia Ann Gerken at St. Johnâ€™s Lutheran Church in Fremont and she survives. William served in the Army Reserves for six years. He was the Manager/Butcher at Hasselbach Meats for forty-eight years, retiring in 2008. William was a member of Christâ€™s Bible Church in Dunbridge, the Gibsonburg Saddle Club, Tri State Rodeo Association and a Sandusky County 4-H Horse Advisor for 20 years. Also surviving are children, Michele Curry of Fremont, Jodi (Mike) Flickinger of Kalamazoo, MI, Monica McCann of Oak Harbor and Tammy (Greg) Hagan of Toledo; grandchildren, Cassie, Justin, Cody, Brittney, Chelsea, Kaylee, Samantha and Kristina; and a brother, Jerry McCann of Toledo. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be on Monday, September 7, 2009 from 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. at Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dale Smeltzer officiating. Memorials may be made to the Sandusky County 4-H Horse Dept. in Williamâ€™s memory
