About	Graduate of Fremont Ross High School class of 1973 Stella M Bertz, 47, of Genoa, died Wednesday in the Edward and Marion Knight Hospice Center, Perrysburg, where she had been a resident for one day. Stella had been ill for the past year and a half. She was born in Fremont to Emilio and Mary (DeLeon) Pena. She married David C. Berts in Sacred Heart Catholic church in Fremont on Nov. 27, 1976, and he survives. Stella was a day care teacher for 11 years at St. John's Nurturing Center in Genoa, and was a cheerleading coach for the Genoa Area School District for 10 years. Survivors include her husband, Dave; daughters Maria V (Joshua) Maluchnik of Walbridge and Valerie R. Berts of Genoa; her father Emilio Pena of Fremont; and brothers, and sisters Margaret Pena of Toldeo, Joe (Karen) Pena, John (Gloria) Pena, Mike (Dena) Pena, Eva (Ray) Dayringer and Tom ( Libby) Pena all of Fremont.
